As AI content detector tools are constantly updating their algorithm, it’s getting harder to avoid AI content detection.

Ways that used to work a few months back, work no more.

But don’t worry, because I have done the hard work for you. In this guide, I will share the 6 most effective ways to avoid AI content detection.

Why Trust Me? Hi, my name is Vlad and I have been talking about tips and strategies to avoid AI content detection ever since it became a thing in the market. I’m the founder of the popular YouTube channel WordsAtScale with over 10,000+ subscribers and 100+ YouTube videos all about AI tools.

Now enough about me, let’s jump right in and explore how to avoid AI content detection with new strategies that actually work!

Key Takeaways

1. Use Rewriter Tools Like Undetectable AI: The simplest way to avoid AI content detection is by using a rewriter tool such as Undetectable AI. It allows you to bypass AI detectors with ease.

2. Use AI Writers With Anti-AI Detection Capabilities: Tools like Agility Writer come with a built-in Anti AI detection feature, which can be beneficial.

3. Use Advanced Settings In Open AI Playground: Utilize the advanced settings in the Open AI Playground to generate content that can bypass AI detectors.

4. Use Conversational Style Prompts With Literary Devices: Incorporating conversational style prompts along with various literary devices can make your content more human-like, thus making it harder for AI detectors to flag.

5. Insert Interactive Elements In Your Content: Including interactive elements such as bullet points, tables, or quizzes can reduce the likelihood of AI detection.

6. Rewrite And Edit Or Hire Writers: One of the most effective ways to avoid detection is by rewriting and editing the output or hiring human writers.

#1. Use Rewriter Tools Like Undetectable AI

Working Probability: Very High

Type: Paid Option

Learning Curve: Very Low

The best and easy way to avoid AI content detection is to use a tool like Undetectable AI. You don’t have to worry about advanced prompts or any settings. Just copy and paste your output into the tool, and it will give you content that can easily bypass AI content detectors.

The tool uses advanced settings to humanize your content with a click of a button. Want more features? It also allows you to tailor your content based on different readability and purpose.

Check out my detailed review about Undetectable AI to know more. And if you are looking for more alternatives, I also recommend you to have a look at this guide about the best tools that are similar to Undetectable AI.

#2. Use AI Writers With Anti-AI Detection Capabilities

Working Probability: High

Type: Paid Option

Learning Curve: Low

You may have heard about tools that allow you to easily create AI-generated content. But there’s a tool called Agility Writer, which also has a built-in Anti AI detection feature.

When you turn on the Anti-AI detection feature and generate any content, there is a high chance that your output will pass the AI content detectors.

To learn more, check out my in-depth review on Agility Writer.

#3. Use Advanced Settings In Open AI Playground

Best Open Playground Settings to beat ai detection

Working Probability: Very High

Type: Paid Option

Learning Curve: High

One of the underrated ways to avoid AI content detection is to use Open AI Playground and its advanced settings.

When you open the Playground interface, you will see an option called Temperature, Frequency, and Penalty on the screen. There will be a slider below each of those options. By dragging those sliders to a desired number, you achieve content that can easily bypass AI content detectors.

Since April 10, 2023, some A.I. detection Tools like Originality.ai have been flagging most of the content as 100% A.I. But I have a solution for you!

Try this trick: Go to Open Playground and choose either the GPT-3.5 or GPT-4 model. Then, use the following settings.

OptionSetting
Temperature1
Frequency Penalty1
Presence Penalty1
Maximum length (for longer outputs)2048

AI Content detectors usually detect any content as written by AI based on the randomness of the text and word choices.

Normally, AI-generated text is very predictable, and AI detectors easily spot that pattern. (How? Because they have been trained to spot such data).

However, when you use the temperature settings, you can increase the randomness of the text.

Pro-Tip: If you want to produce content with a high-temperature setting in ChatGPT, then you can use the following prompt:

Write an article about [TOPIC] in a human-like style, using contractions, idioms, transitional phrases, interjections, dangling modifiers, and colloquialisms, and avoiding repetitive phrases and unnatural sentence structures. Incorporate a variety of figures of speech and add more emotive language to bring out a more expressive tone. Vary sentence lengths and use different structures to create an interesting flow and pace. The temperature should be set to 0.9 to produce a creative and expressive output.

You can start with a low-temperature setting of 0.9. Then gradually increase the number based on what scores you are getting AI content detectors.

Fun Fact: I was able to get the temperature setting in the prompt for up to 1.5. You can try it and figure out how it works. Just remember, the higher the temperature, the more will be randomness. But that also means that sometimes, the readability of the content can be affected. So the goal is to find the perfect balance.

#4. Use Conversational Style Prompts With Literary Devices

Literary Devices ChatGPT Prompt explained

Working Probability: Medium

Type: Free Option

Learning Curve: Low

When you use advanced and well-detailed prompts, the output from ChatGPT comes much more tailored and unique. This in turn leads to the creation of better and human-like content.

A conversational tone means the way we talk to each other. When you instruct ChatGPT to write any piece in a conversational tone, along with some additional instructions (related to literary devices), the resultant output can easily bypass the detectors.

Let me first explain what literary devices are and then I will share the prompt.

Authors use literary devices to create meaning, enhance a story, and evoke emotions in readers. Some common literary devices include:

  • Symbolism
  • Metaphor
  • Personification
  • Irony
  • Allusion
  • Hyperbole
  • Imagery
  • Foreshadowing
  • Theme
  • Figurative language
  • Simile
  • Onomatopoeia
  • Repetition
  • Rhyme
  • Suspense
  • Mood
  • Dialogue
  • Conflict
  • Characterization
  • Point of view.

These devices can do many things in your content. They can convey complicated ideas, make the reader excited, show what characters are like, and create a special feeling or mood.

Now let’s talk about the prompt:

  1. For writing any post in a conversational human-like writing style, check out this prompt for ChatGPT:

write an article about [TOPIC] in a human-like style, simple English, using contractions, idioms, transitional phrases, interjections, dangling modifiers, and colloquialisms and avoiding repetitive phrases and unnatural sentence structures.

  1. For writing any post using literary devices, follow this prompt for ChatGPT:

write an article about [TOPIC] with a random mixture of such literary devices as Symbolism, Irony, Foreshadowing, Metaphor, Personification, Hyperbole, Alliteration, Imagery, Onomatopoeia, and Simile without referring to them in the text directly

You can either use both prompts independently or combine them together. The results are pretty good, or at least it used to be.

A few months back, this method used to work like a charm. However, with recent advancements in AI content detector tools, sometimes, even by using this prompt, it can be hard to bypass the AI content detectors (especially those like Originality.AI). So just be aware of this point and feel free to use it along with your creativity to make your custom prompt.

#5. Insert Interactive Elements In Your Content

Working Probability: Medium

Type: Free Option

Learning Curve: Low

Instead of simply copying and pasting the output from ChatGPT, you can use interactive elements in your content. They are somewhat effective in reducing the likelihood of AI detection.

For instance, you can ask in your prompts to present the information in the form of bullet points, or tables. Similarly, you can also incorporate quizzes in your content.

This method may not work well on its own, but it’s a good tip to try out, especially when used with other tips listed in this guide.

#6. Rewrite And Edit Or Hire Writers

Working Probability: Very High

Type: Free Option

Learning Curve: Medium

There is no question of being detected by AI detectors if you write the whole content in your own words. If you have the habit of writing blog articles, then it could be quite easy for you to paraphrase the ChatGPT output in your own words.

Of course, for the best results you need to fact-check each piece in the output. But the idea here is to use ChatGPT and other AI tools, just as an assistant, to speed up your research process.

Pro-Tip: When you put the things in your own words, and add your own insights to it, your ranking chances increase quite a lot!

Moreover, if you have the budget and want to scale your blog faster with human content, then hiring writing is one of the best ways.

Sure, if you are hiring writers at a very cheap rate, don’t expect that you will get A-class, human-written content.

But as long as you are paying a fair price as per the industry standard, you should get quite high-quality content from writers.

It goes without saying that if you are paying your writers, they will deliver you articles that don’t have AI content.

You can choose reputed content agencies, for quick and easy hiring. And you can also look for online marketplaces like Fiverr and Upwork to find a reputed seller.

Pro-Tip: All the tricks mentioned in this guide work for both Originality (latest version) and Turnitin AI detector. If you’re looking for tips specifically for Turnitin, check out the detailed guide on how to bypass Turnitin AI detection.

Avoiding AI Content Detection: Ways That Work No More

You learned the 9 latest strategies to avoid content detection. That’s great! But it’s also important to know which strategies work no more.

Don’t worry, to save you time, here I have compiled a list of all the tricks that used to work in the past – but now they don’t work anymore (at least they have very less likelihood of working!).

Use Of Tools Like QuillBot

In case you didn’t know, QuillBot is an AI paraphrasing tool that rewrites your article according to different styles. It has “formal,” “simple,” “creative,” “shorten,” and other modes. Using those modes, you can tweak the final output content from the tool.

Tools like QuillBot used to work quite well in the past. But with recent advancements in the AI content detector space, they are less and less effective.

Although they can still work in some cases, the probability that the tool would work is very low.

Use Of Content Spinners

If you’re thinking of using free online article spinners tools, then wait!

These tools work no more. AI content detectors are far more advanced now than they used to be in the initial ChatGPT days.

Avoiding Repeated Words Or Phrases

Avoid just repeating words, phrases, or concepts, is very general advice. This strategy has a very low likelihood of bypassing AI content detectors.

AI content can be more fluffy; may keep repeating concepts and sentences over the copy. However, the AI detectors tools don’t just rely on this aspect. Instead, they look for advanced metrics like Perplexity and Burstiness of the given text.

In simple words, they check for how random word choices are made in content. The word choices in any given text are very predictable by AI content detectors.

Human-written content has more random word choices than AI content. And AI detector tools look for these patterns to detect whether the content is written by AI or not.

Use Of Emojis And Misspelled Words

Deliberately using emojis or inserting spelling mistakes in your content used to work. But nowadays, with recent technological advancements, they have become less effective

Free Tools To Avoid AI Content Detection

When it comes to tools that can bypass AI Detection, there are very few FREE options available. To get the best results and better flexibility, you need to invest in the paid plans.

Most of the free tools either follow a freemium model (offering you some free uses at first and then requiring the paid subscription for further). Although there are some tools that indeed offer completely free plans, they come with word limits, high response time, or poor readability.

Let’s have a look at these tools:

#1. ChatGPT

Tool Type: Free

Paid Plan: Available

Starting Cost: $20/month

Yes, you read that right! You can use ChatGPT to create content that can bypass AI content detectors. Likewise, you can also use BIng Chat, and Google Bard to create unique, human-like content.

And if you’re looking for other options similar to ChatGPT, I highly suggest checking out my guide about the best ChatGPT free alternatives.

There’s a catch though using just ChatGPT!

You need to use advanced and well-detailed prompts for the desired output. Usually, ChatGPT works best when it comes to getting better outcomes from your prompts.

If you haven’t already, switch to ChatGPT Plus (which allows you to use ChatGPT-4) as well. You will get more well-thought responses from it compared to the previous ChatGPT models.

Speaking of ChatGPT-4, I also recommend checking out my guide about ChatGPT-4 and AI detection to learn whether or not it can bypass AI detection.

#2. AISEO

Tool Type: Free

Paid Plan: Available

Starting Cost: $19/month

AI SEO is a new tool in the industry that can create content capable of bypassing AI detection. You paste in the text, and the tool processes and gives you a new output that is highly likely to pass AI detectors.

On their free plan, there is a word limit of 125 words, but the overall tool works quite well. To get additional features like more word count limit per use and also to tailor the output based on different goals.

#3. StealthGPT

Tool Type: Freemium

Paid Plan: Available

Starting Cost: $9.99/month

This is a cool tool that allows you to create high-quality content that can easily dodge AI detectors. The best part is, unlike Cognibypass or other tools, it doesn’t mess up with the readability. The content reads well and won’t need much editing.

I tested the tool and overall it gives quite good output.

But the problem is it is a paid tool. To try it out, they offer 2 free uses (that too with a limit of 1000 characters). And once you sign up, you get two more uses.

To access all the features, you need to unlock their paid plan which starts at $9.99 per month.

Can Search Engines Detect AI Generated Content?

In short, search engines like Google can detect AI-generated content if it is created plainly from ChatGPT without any advanced prompting. However, if it is heavily edited, or rephrased, then the likelihood of the content being detected by Google is quite low.

Even if the AI-generated texts are watermarked, in most cases they will be related to word choices, patterns, and punctuations.

The moment you write it in a way that mimics human writing, it becomes close to impossible to detect it as AI-generated content.

For instance, if your content has a higher perplexity and burstiness (like human written content would have), then in general, it becomes harder for any AI content detectors to flag it as AI content.

Google is a big search engine with years worth of data, so it has better AI content detection capabilities. But at the end of the day, it is also detecting the TEXT you write.

When your content starts closely resembling human-written content, it won’t be able to flag it as AI content.

Should You Even Worry About AI Content?

AI-generated content is still a new thing. While Google doesn’t say that they are specifically against AI-generated content, it’s better to be on the safe side.

As long as your content reads well, and provides unique and practical insights to your audience, it should have a similar ranking chance on Google. In fact, AI-generated content can also rank well on Google if it adds value.

FAQs:

What Is AI-Generated Content?

AI-generated content is any content created by Artificial Intelligence. The AI system uses NLP (natural language processing) along with NLG (natural language generation) models to analyze the existing data set it has been trained on, and generate new content based on that.

What Is AI-Content Detection?

Whenever a tool like Originality.AI, Copyleaks, or GPTZero is used to check whether the given text is written by AI or humans, it is known as AI content detection. Even though AI content detectors are not 100% accurate yet, they allow us to effectively spot AI-generated content.

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Tricking AI Content Detectors?

Ticking AI content detectors allow you to create content that is human-like, especially useful when you want to future-proof your website. However, it can also be time-consuming, may not always work, and may require advanced skills. So, there are both pros and cons of bypassing AI content detectors.

Does Google Penalize AI Written Content?

Google doesn’t penalize AI-generated content and they have openly highlighted that correct use of AI is not against their guidelines. However, AI-written content that doesn’t provide unique or valuable insights, is unlikely to perform well on Google.

Can Google Detect AI Content?

Google can detect AI content because they have a huge database and use advanced technologies to spot AI content. It uses factors like semantic similarity, grammatical patterns, machine learning, and more to detect the usage of AI in any content. However, if you heavily edit the AI-generated content, and the content is unique, then it is unlikely to be flagged as AI content by any system.

Here’s a list of some of the most popular AI detection tools:

  • Originality.AI
  • Copyleaks
  • GPTZero
  • Kazan SEO
  • Writer.com’s AI detector
  • Content At Scale’s AI Detector

Can I Trust AI Detection Tools?

AI detection tools are not fully accurate yet, however, they can detect any AI-generated text with an accuracy of at least 90%. So yes, you can use AI detection tools. However, use it only as rough guidelines because sometimes they can also show false scores for even human-generated content. Therefore, a manual review of the text becomes equally important.

To know more, I highly recommend checking out my detailed guide on the reliability of AI content detectors. In that guide, I have given a thorough explanation of that topic along with names of the most accurate AI content detectors.

Conclusion and final thoughts đź’

In short, to avoid AI content detection, you need to know how to use advanced strategies and tricks as AI detectors have become advanced. Tips that used to work previously are becoming less and less effective.

To get the desired results in an easy way, you can use tools like Undetectable AI and Agility. Also, you can use detailed prompts and settings to create human-like content.

Last but not least, it is important to remember that creating high-quality content goes just beyond bypassing AI content detector tools. To have a better chance of ranking well on search engine results pages, ensure you offer valuable and original insights in your blog content.

So why wait? Start utilizing the tricks listed in the guide. Use them to create amazing AI content that is not detectable by AI detectors and also provides real value to the readers
